Is there anything added to your essential oils?

No. Essential oils are most often steam distilled from plants to extract the oils and are extremely concentrated. We do not dilute these oils in any way.

Are your essential oils of therapeutic quality?

Our essential oils are 100% pure and unadulterated, free from carriers or dilutents. All our essential oils are steam distilled or cold pressed from freshly harvested sources. Since the use of terms such as therapeutic or commercial grade is unregulated in describing essential oils it is a subjective term that we choose not to use. Please review the certificate of analysis for each oil you are considering. Links are shown within the product pages.

How do I use essential oils safely?

Never ingest essential oils or use them on your skin without properly diluting them.

It is the user's responsibility to determine safe conditions for the use of the essential oils, and to assume liability for loss, injury, damage or expense arising from improper use of these products.

It is not appropriate to begin using essential oils without carefully researching their use and safety first. You must know how to properly dilute essential oils for your intended purpose before you can use them safely. Each essential oil is unique and has it own unique set of safety considerations. If you plan to follow recipes using essential oils, it is best to know that the recipes have come from respected sources whom you trust to have the knowledge to safely advise you in the use of the essential oils.

Do you offer gallon sizes of essential oils?

No. We offer a 7 pound container on some of our most popular essential oils. This is packed in a gallon jug but does not fill it. The 7 pound container is packed by weight, not volume, and each essential oil will fill the jug to a unique level based upon its density.

Can I use your essential oils to flavor food?

No. We do not offer any essential oils for internal use. Essential oils are highly concentrated, very small amounts are toxic if consumed.

Why can not you ship essential oils by air services?

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) prohibits air shipment by Air or Vessel of items that are flammable or combustible unless they are properly processed as hazardous materials. Most essential oils are considered hazardous due to flammability. We do not offer hazardous material processing services. If your order contains essential oils and you select an Air service at checkout we will change your shipping method to a legal shipping method. We will not notify you of the change in shipping method when it is necessary for compliance with the law.

I ordered several bottles of essential oil and received 1 large container.

We select the best container for shipping your oil at the time of shipping. Our decision is based on any applicable laws, safety, safe transportation, volume and value. We use glass, plastic and steel containers. Please read our ordering policies for more information about shipping essential oils.
